We are not a large group practice. We are one doctor and a small staff, who will give you individualized attention and will see you as far more than just your insurance plan. We believe that it is a privilege to treat your children and that we have an opportunity to make a real difference in your children’s lives.
Our philosophy at Bean Tree Pediatric Dentistry is to treat each child as we would our own. We are committed to family-centered care for infants, children, adolescents and special-needs patients. We know each patient and family unit is different, and we understand education and treatment must be unique to each. We do not believe in the one-size-fits-all model. We have chosen all members of our staff for their ability to work within this individualized approach to dentistry and to offer nonjudgmental care.
We always strive to offer a positive and comfortable experience by:
Focusing on prevention and proper hygiene education
Having an office environment that feels more like a home than a dental office
Using sustainable products whenever we can to minimize our impact on the environment
Keeping your waiting times to a minimum
Listening attentively to the needs of each parent and patient
At Bean Tree Pediatric Dentistry, we are committed to lessening our impact on the environment. By minimizing waste, avoiding mercury and Bisphenol A (BPA), recycling approved materials, using electronic charting and digital X-rays, and conserving water with advanced delivery systems, we are able to work toward our goal of being a “green office.”
A Little About our Office
Our goal is to provide a positive learning experience for each child and parent whom we meet. We work with you to identify any contributing factors which may lead to tooth decay. Communication with you and your child, oral hygiene education and nutritional counseling all play a part in our prevention-focused care.
Paperless Office & Charting
Our pediatric dental office is almost paperless. There may be times when we need to give you a printed copy, but we try to minimize that as much as possible. Through the power of our cloud-based dental software, we are able to offer you the ability to sign in, view your account balances, make payments, schedule appointments and update your information. This also allows us to easily chart and display your child’s X-rays, pictures and dental needs on the computer screen to better communicate with you and answer any questions you may have.
Powered by Technology
With the exception of the humans who work here, our office is completely digital. For example: when you pay by credit card, your receipt is emailed to you. Using your mobile device, you can pay for your child’s treatment through PayPal or from your checking account with Dwolla. Both have apps available in Google Play and iTunes. From our digital X-ray machines that emit less radiation than conventional X-rays, to the tablets used to sign forms, to our cloud-based computing system, we are the most technology savvy and eco-friendly pediatric dental office in Jacksonville.
End of Appointment
The television built into the ceiling above our treatment room chair plays G-rated movies, to provide children with a positive and family-friendly distraction which may help facilitate cooperation and a more pleasant experience.
With our selection of commercial-free music, the bean team can easily communicate with you while thoroughly examining and cleaning your child’s teeth. During treatment procedures, your child is able to engage in a fun movie experience or sing songs with us. This makes appointments seem shorter and much more enjoyable.
End of Appointment
Every appointment must come to an end, and we hate to see you go; but we won’t send your child away without something to do before leaving. When children come to our office for their first visit, they each receive a paper bean to color in their own unique way. When the visit is over, they can each place that bean on our bean-tree mural, where it will become a bean leaf for all time. They also get a BeanBag with a prize of their choice, stickers, toothbrush, floss and their very own Bean Growing Kit so they can grow their own bean plant.
