Pediatric Teledentistry

Patients and non-patients now have the ability to schedule an online or virtual visit. No need to leave the comfort of your own home for consults, general questions, emergencies or follow-up visits.

Get started with the instructions in our Photo Guide to a Pediatric Teledentistry Visit. Then follow the steps below.

Complete a Simple Form

After taking the photos, complete the Virtual Visit Appointment Form by clicking the button below. This information will help prepare Dr. Mason for the nature of the visit.

Be sure you attach the photos you just took of your child’s teeth and mouth to this form and be thorough in your documentation.

There is no need to do this step if you are an existing patient.

Schedule your Appointment

Our online appointment booking system makes it easy to see available times and schedule your appointment. This is not an appointment request like most dental websites have; our system allows you to directly schedule your appointment in our practice management system.

If this is an after-hours emergency, please call the office.

Prepare for your Visit

After you have taken the photos from the Photo Guide to a Pediatric Teledentistry Visit, completed the Virtual Visit form and scheduled your appointment online, be sure that you are at a computer or phone with a forward facing camera, prior to your appointment time. You will be sent a link to your virtual visit and it is unique to you, so please do not share it with anyone.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us…we’re happy to help in any way.

What is a Virtual Visit?

Pediatric Teledentistry is a virtual appointment with your child’s pediatric dental provider, which requires the use of a mobile phone, email and/or front facing camera on a computer (in a non-public environment) for video conferencing. This type of service is intended to provide guidance and recommendations on future dental, and medical care, if needed, for your child. One of the best things about a teledentistry visit is that you really don’t need to leave the comfort of your home. It can also be completed in any private setting as well.

Depending on your insurance carrier and your specific plan, a pediatric teledentistry visit my reduce your number of allowable routine examinations. Please check with your benefits administrator if you have any questions about your coverage and/or frequency limitations.

Is There a Cost for a Virtual Visit?
Not only is a pediatric teledentistry visit convenient, it’s also affordable. Each visit is only $50.00. We’ve even made it simple for you to pay by including a payment section in the teledentistry form you complete prior to the appointment.

For follow-up visits that are included with your child’s treatment, there is NO CHARGE.

How Long Does a Visit Take?
The visit can range anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. This makes it a great option for follow-up visits and after-hours emergencies.

Note: A visit to the office for a routine follow-up can take up to 30 minutes of time in the office, plus the time it takes for travel to and from the appointment.
